We feel like #?*!

It’s been a while since I have done a song, but in honor of our new language system, I couldn’t help but think of this song. I heard this song a few times on my drive today, and it just fit without having to change a lot of the original lyrics. I put the youtube link below the song. It just seemed too long to put before the song.

Original Song – “Pound Sign” by Kevin Fowler

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJmrgicMLQA

Fans are tired
yeah we’re wired
Up tighter than an E string about to break
Team is draggin
a little ragged
Hangin’ by a thread that’s startin’ to fray
Just in case there might be little ears around

We won’t say it
We’ll just spell it out

chorus:
We feel like #?*!
(Aspirin
fishing pole
soap
unnacceptable)
Don’t give a blank and a whole lotta other choice words we can’t say
Today we feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)

Game is over
a lot closer
To sayin’ it’s over than we were yesterday
Head achin’
hands shakin’
Badly in need of some power to behave
Yeah we know we’re lookin’ a little rough

The least we can do is clean our language up

We feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)

Don’t give a blank and a whole lotta other choice words we can’t say
Today we feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)

We think it’s hard watching this team every night
Let’s see here now how do we put this right?

we feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)

Don’t give a blank and a whole lotta other choice words we can’t say
Today we feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)
Don’t give a blank and a whole lotta other choice words we can’t say

Today we feel like #?*! (aspirin, fishing pole, soap, unacceptable)

Feeling of a Ring Out There

I know………………….it’s been a while since I have written a song. I heard this song actually on a country station, and I knew I had heard it before on another station. Of course, it was a Nickelback song (my daughter was proud). Anyhow, eventhough the original song is about finding love, I think most of us have already found a strong liking (okay – love) for the Dodgers, but we are in search of a World Series Ring for our boys in blue. Here’s to hope it comes true this season. And if not, we love our Dodgers anyway. Why?……………….because we do :)

Song: Feeling of a Ring Out There
Original Song: Gotta Be Somebody
Artist: Nickelback

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pbnRvAUQiI

This time we wonder what it feels like
To win the Ring on this ride
The one we all dream of
But dreams just aren’t enough
So we’ll be waiting for the real thing.
We’ll know it by the feeling.
The moment when we´re screaming
will play out like a scene straight off the Dodger Dream
So we’ll be holdin’ our own breath
Right up to the end
Until that moment when
We win the Ring that they’ll spend forever with

`Cause Dodgers want to be the last one there.
‘Cause Dodgers want to feel theWorld Series air.
Nothing but love and the best from their fans.
There`s a definite hope for a Win like that.

`Cause Dodgers want to do it on their own
And everyone wants them to know they´re not alone.
Dodger fans are all out there everywhere
There`s a definite feeling of a Ring out there

Tonight, out on the field out in the moonlight
And dammit this feels too right
It´s just like Déjà Vu
Fans standin’ there in blue
So we’ll be holdin`our own breath
Could this be the year?
Is it that moment when
We find the out what our team is really worth?

`Cause Dodgers want to be the last one there.
‘Cause Dodgers want to feel theWorld Series air.
Nothing but love and the best from their fans.
There`s a definite hope for a win like that.

`Cause Dodgers want to do it on their own
And everyone wants them to know they´re not alone.
Dodger fans are out there everywhere
There`s a definite feeling of a Ring out there

We can´t give up!
Lookin´ for that diamond in the rough
We never know but when it shows up
Make sure you´re holdin` on

‘Cause it could be the one, the one we’re waiting for
`Cause Dodgers want to be the last one there.
‘Cause Dodgers want to feel theWorld Series air.
Nothing but love and the best from their fans.
There`s a definite hope for a win like that.

Ohhhhhh.

`Cause Dodgers want to do it on their own
And everyone wants them to know they´re not alone.
Dodger fans are out there everywhere
There`s a definite feeling of a Ring out there

`Cause Dodgers want to be the last one there.
‘Cause Dodgers want to feel theWorld Series air.
Nothing but love and the best from their fans.
There`s a definite hope for a win like that.

Gnome

I have heard this song alot lately and the rhyming of the original word in the song “roam” and my new JP name “gnome” just had to be made into a song. I took liberties in how the song is sung to make it fit my needs for some of the wording.

Song : “Gnome
Original Song: “Roam”
Artist: B 52s

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyj6t-5THic
This live version does not have the opening lines of the song.

I hear a gnome
whistling air
whispering
in our ear

Joy! juanpy slappin through every at bat
See juan speedin’ down those DIRTY and DUSTY trails
but taking hit for hit to the infield grass
back to the mound the hit becomes a miss

A gnome if you want him
this gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without pop, without throws
A gnome if you want him
this gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without anything but the love we feel

ship the pop gun to the sunset
can’t hide the arm which will throw rainbows
they take hit for hit rockin in the outfield grass
around the field the batter gets an extra base

A gnome if you want him
this gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without pop, without throws
A gnome if you want him
This gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without anything but the love we feel

He tries the great big cries, here comes the real Juanpy
kickin and pouting calling his mommy
they take it hit for hit, rockin thru the outfield grass
around the field the batter gets an extra base

A Gnome if you want him
This gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without pop, without throws
A gnome if you want him
This gnome can be yours
A gnome if you want him
without anything but the love we feel

take it hit for hit pop it to the infield grass
take it hit for hit pop it to the infield grass
take it hit for hit pop it to the infield grass
take it hit for hit pop it to the infield grass
take it hit for hit pop it to the infield grass

I Am The Juan

I apologize to all the fabulous original artists that were part of this song, but when the song was mentioned to me (thanks Dodger4life), we thought JP. The youtube link is here just in case you forgot or perhaps are too young to remember it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7fog5EjJTc

Song: I am the Juan
Original Song: We are the World
Original Artists: Various

There comes a time when my fan needs a certain call
When my worlds must come together as one
There are bloggers crying
Oh,and it’s time to lend my hand, to Joe
The greatest gift of all

Joe can go on pretending day by day
That someone, somehow will soon make a change
I am still part of this Dodger big family
And the truth – you know I’m what Joe really needs

( CHORUS )
I am the Juan, the left out Dodger
I am the one who makes ITD’s day
so keep me playing
There’s a choice Joe’s making
By saving Ned’s own hide
It’s true he’ll have a better day
Just playing me

I’ll give Joe my heart
So he knows that someone cares
And our lives will be stronger and free
As Ned has shown you
By turning deals fans dread
And so I must lend a helping hand

( REPEAT CHORUS )

When I am down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if I just believe
There’s no way I can fall
Well, well, well, just realize
That one change can only come
When Joe and I stand together as one

( REPEAT CHORUS AND FADE )

Might Be Wrong To Be This Damn Bold

Like seesky, when jungar mentioned being too damn old the other night, this song came to mind.

Original Song – Much Too Young (To Be This Damn Old)
By – Garth Brooks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtLUaXPEmKA

“Might Be Wrong To Be This Damn Bold”

This ol’ story’s getting longer
Seems there ain’t no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but we just can’t afford to rest
We want him signed in Glendale tomorrow night

They sent out letters but no one answered
For the last three weeks no one’s been close
I guess with offer three, to tell the truth we just can’t see
What’s kept the Dodgers holding on this long

And the fine line’s getting longer and the story’s getting old
Scott might be wrong to be this damn bold
All the cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
Scott might be wrong to be this damn bold

The competition’s getting younger
Tougher kids, you know we can recall
The worn out talk of Juan Pierre, goes 0 for 3 and we lose
Seems to be the only thing Juan will do at all

And the fine line’s getting longer and the story’s getting old
Frank might be wrong to be this damn bold
All the cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
Frank might be wrong to be this damn bold

Manny might be wrong to be this damn bold

Bad Case of Manny Blues

Thanks Dodger4life for the thought :)

Song – Bad Case of Manny Blues
Original Song – Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUCNDMeU8L4

A cold rainy night fell like a net
We haven’t signed our Manny yet
We need him to soothe our heads
And save our blue hearts from dread

Frankie, Frankie give us the news
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues
No Juan’s gonna cure our will
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues

Juan’s speedy pace, don’t make up Manny’s art
We’ve learned that Neddy from the start
Ned thinks it’s mute, Juan will be alright
Manny, he ain’t that kind of guy

Frankie, Frankie give us the news
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues
No Juan’s gonna cure our will
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues

You know we like him, we like him in left
Tell them Manny, you want it too

Don’t let us down, to end up with zip
Talk with Boras, give some lip
Shake my fist, knock on wood
We’ve got it bad and we want it good.

Frankie, Frankie give us the news
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues
No Juan’s gonna cure our will
We’ve got a bad case of Manny blues

The Waiting

seesky – thanks for the title. I took a little advantage of the way in Tom Petty sings to make some of the words fit.

Song – “The Waiting”
by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLCJEYLIBQY

Oh bloggers don’t it feel like hell right now
Don’t it feel like something from a dream
Yeah, we’ve never known anyone quite like this
Don’t it feel like Borass is a pain in the ***
We know better than to try and pretend
Baby no one could have ever told us about this

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day we see one more card
We take it on faith, We take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Well, yeah Manny might have chased a couple of deals around
all it ever got him was down
Then there’s Dodgers who made him feel good
And always as good as it is right now
Manny you’re the only one that LA wants now
To make the fans feel like they have a super star now

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day we get one more yard
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Don’t let Borass get to you, don’t let him get to you
Don’t let him hurt you Manny, don’t let him get to you
We’ll be your cheering hearts, we’ll be your screamin’ fools
Don’t let this go too far, don’t let this get to you

****guitar interlude****

The waiting is the hardest part
Every day we get one more yard
You take it on faith, you take it to the heart
The waiting is the hardest part

Yeah, the waiting is the hardest part……..

****more guitar****

It’s the hardest part
repeat until fades

Cheap Miser

Sorry, in my present state at school, it’s all about Christmas music and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”, and I would hate to take that sacred baseball song and turn it into a ITD song. Some songs are just untouchable and that’s one of them. Also, I have a song about a chicken stuck in my head which would make a great song, but I can’t get past the visual of actually Frank/Ned being the chicken. Anyhow, so I am left with the myriad of Christmas songs that I am entrenched in every day at school. However, I must say, this is one of my favorites, and it fits our owner pretty well. Also, thank you northstateblues for the help on a word :) Here is the youtube link because if you don’t know the song, it’s not just one voice.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yon2YuXssvo

Song : Cheap Miser
Original Song: Snow Miser (there is the Heat Miser too)
From the Children’s movie: The Year Without a Santa

I’m mister cheap miser
I’m mister show
I’m mister blue miser
I’m mister “I don’t know”
Fans call me cheap miser
Whatever I touch
Turns to crap in my clutch
I’m too much!

**chorus**’
Frank’s mister cheap miser
He’s all show
Frank’s mister blue miser
He’s mister “I don’t know”

Fans call me cheap miser
Whatever I touch
Turns to crap in my clutch

**chorus**
He’s too much!!

I never want to see a player
Who’s under the age of thirty
I’d rather have them forty
Fifty, sixty and get them freeeeeeeeeeee

[Chorus:]
He’s mister cheap miser
He’s mister show

That’s right!

[Chorus:]
He’s mister blue miser
He’s mister I don’t know

Fans call me cheap miser
What ever I touch
Turns to crap in my clutch
…too much.

[All:]
Too Much!

Must Be Dodgers

Okay, I managed to take a simple children’s Christmas song and change it into a Dodger song. I wrote it while watching part of the Polar Express this afternoon. The song is “Must Be Santa.” If you have young children, you should know the song (or at least the tune). If you don’t, then pull the song up on youtube to listen just to get a feel of the tune. Even if I could pull up youtube (which I can’t here at school), there are alot of versions of the song so it’s a matter of knowing the tune versus the lyrics. I can’t take all the credit. My students were singing the original, and managed to fit Andre’s name in there many times so even though I didn’t use Andre’s name in the song, the idea of changing the song, came from them. My students only know the good stuff that happens in terms of the Dodgers, so I told them I would do a good song about the boys in blue, but for now, here is one that represents some of the good and some of the not-so-good, about our Dodgers.

Song: Must Be Dodgers

He’s Magic

There is a funny story about this song when I was a kid because I had the lyrics very wrong and still laugh hysterically when I hear it because I still hear those words and not the actually words. When I first heard this song I was 5-6 and we were at a community pool we belonged to at the time. I didn’t hear the words “It’s Magic.” I heard “It’s my *ick” (LMAO!!) I can’t even type it without laughing my *ss off because I couldn’t as a 5 year old understand why a song would talk about THAT – LOL!!! Anyhow trublue’s comment about Joe’s magic made me think about this song.

It’s Magic – Pilot

Joe, Joe, Joe
He’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so
He’s magic, you know
Never believe, it’s not so

Never been awake
Never seen a game break
Leaning on his railing in the evening
Crazy days with Ned
Old vets are in his head
Playing till they see the light

Joe,Joe, Joe
He’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so
He’s magic, you know
Never believe, it’s not so

Joe loves to watch his vets play
Dreams of another day
Leaning on his railing in the evening
Never been awake
Never seen a game break
Leaning on is railing in the evening light

Joe,Joe,Joe
He’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so
He’s magic, you know
Never believe, it’s not so

Joe,Joe, Joe
He’s magic, you know
Never believe it’s not so
He’s magic, you know
Never believe, it’s not so

Here’s is the music (I think) if you don’t recall what song this is…
