You And Me Against The World

Wally and TruMom made me teary eyed up above about being here to the bitter end, so this ones for them. Helen Reddy, You And Me Against The World.
.

.
TRU AND ME AGAINST OL’ FRANK
.
[Spoken]
Tell it again Wally
.
Tru and me against ol Frank
That’s all that’s left is Tru and me against ol Frank
When all the others flipped the bird and walked away
We’ll be here until we’re gra-a-a-a-a-a-y
.
Remember when Ned’s circus came to town
And you were pissed of by McClown
But yet we still came back around, someone that bleeds blue
Someone who was woebegone and still remembers
.
Phew and me against ol Frank
That’s all that’s left is Tru and me against ol Frank
And for all the times Frank lied, we knew we still had
Vinny by our side
.
And when others have all gone
And we’re the ones who’re left to carry on
Then remembering our fat Andruw
Or Jason Schidt and roided Manny too
Think back to the days of Princess Drew
Tru and me against ol Frank
.
[instrumental]
.
And when others have all gone
And we’re the ones who’re left to carry on
Then remembering our fat Andruw
Or Jason Schidt and roided Manny too
Think back to the days of Princess Drew
Tru and me against ol Frank
.
[spoken by TruMom]
I hate you Franky
[spoken by Wally]
I hate you too Frank

    Let’s see if this works:

Folks, I am usually not at a loss for words but today’s filing, while not surprising, leaves me with little more to say that has not already been said. But I do know this: I am not happy that the one little thing we had going was the ITD blog (remember we were called a cult sometime back?) and even that is fading away by constant movement to other threads. In addition, I now realize Jimmy Dykes (Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own, was wrong when he said there is no crying in baseball. I have a hard time believing Tommy, Vinny and maybe a few other old time Dodgers did not shed a tear or two today.

I hope you will reconsider and move back to the regular ITD section. This blog does not seem to know the correct time and still has the shortcomings that were fixed on the regular pages.

OK, all of you faithful who are having moderation problems: I haven’t been able to get into the editing portion of this site since they changed over. I’m still at work. As soon as I’m able, I’ll get to work on this at home. Promise! I hear you out there! My email inbox is starting to overflow on my phone!! LOL!!!

Just when you think Frank can’t be any bigger shithead:
    .
Every time you think McCourt can’t sink any lower, he pulls more slop out of his hat. It’s a very big hat. Through it all, however misguided and greedy, I always considered him intelligent. But one of the multitude of people he owes money is Vin Scully ($152,778). That’s the dumbest move in the history of mankind.

I can’t believe though that Selig wouldn’t have planned for this contingency. I’m sure MLB can muster as good as or better lawyers than McBroke.
    .
Speaking of which, how’s he going to pay this new batch of lawyers? Wampum? Tickets to future games?

Well, I sure hope thst Vin gets his coin that’s due. Manny, Jones, Grissom, Garland, Pierre and the rest no longer with the team are sucking hind tit waiting for theirs.

Enchanted, I have been wondering all along how Frank and Jamie pay their attorneys. Perhaps in Frank’s case the money would come from the media deal and in Jamie’s case, from any settlement she does get. In her case, clearly she will get some sort of payday down the road so her legal team may be banking on that. Not sure where Frank gets the money and who knows, perhaps he will try to hood wink MLB into paying his expenses as a way to get him to go away.

I’m sure Bud and his lawyers have foreseen this turn of events and are in position to counter it. I can’t believe they will let McBroke basically get a PayDay loan to make ends meet. 10% or higher interest and a 4.5M service charge. Seems that is going to devalue the franchise even more. I think Jamies’ lawyers will be there tomorrow with something to say also. It’s clearly not in her best interests for Frank to continue to devalue her future settlement. Plus, I’m thinking, she’s probably running pretty low on money herself.

      haha Beav!
Hi Everyone! I’ve been absent. busy as a bee. I was at SABR41 convention from Wed 7/6 to 7/10 I had such a great time there! Met wonderful baseball geeks. I attended sessions and also volunteered. I loved the tour of old ballparks in Los Angeles. I tweet more than I go to facebook and have not had a chance to update my blog. I was over the limit on pictures on my blog so got to figure out where to put the pics or delete some that I have there.
      .
Anyway, I was tweeting Sunday that I had an extra four tickets to the Lake Elsinore game against the Visalia’s Rawhides. It was part of the SABR convention activities. I gave the tix to fans waiting in line to buy tix. Nice cozy stadium.
      .
I video taped Wes Parker talking outside of a session. He seemed like he was having as much fun talking as we were having listening to him. Never made it inside the session ’cause we caught him outside and he just talked and talked and answer all our question. Love Wes!

Knowing you couldn’t count on Martin, I could see Badajass, maybe even forgive it, but not at the price he signed for. Might as well have kept Martin. But then to get Nobatro and Gimpenez and put them above Ellis is unforgivable.

Still don’t get those people that say its not Ned’s fault because he doesn’t have the money to spend. He spent over $60M on Uribe, Lilly and Guerrier. What do we have – the 11th or 12th highest payroll? And yet we’re about the 3rd or 4th worst team? That right there tells you that people don’t know what they’re talking about AND that Ned doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to talent or how to build a team.

  11. nellyjune

Frank is such an asshole!!! I am just finding out about all this while watching the game here. Quite a few Dodger fans here. It’s good to see the support of the players without giving Frank money.

    • nellyjune

I was talking to a Dodger fan on the way out, and he said he wouldn’t be surprised if Frank takes credit for the win since he filed for bankruptcy. So can he really get away with this?

  12. JhallWally

Good game tonight. Now Neddy will think we are contenders and really screw up the roster. I think Ned is the only GM in baseball that could actually make this team worse. Whether he is buying or selling. Damn!!

  13. JhallWally

Hey Beav. Well back to normal. One lucky game and two turds. Why do I find myself rooting for the Padres to win tonight? I’m hoping this team is in the cellar and 15 games out at the AS break. Maybe then Ned will get a clue and unload all the shit. Then again, what am I thinking. It’s Ned. Anyway you look at it, with Ned, we lose.

  14. EnchantedTheBeav

    Yeah. This team’s a joke. Coaching’s a joke. Management’s a joke…
    .
Can’t believe Selig didn’t forsee Frank declaring bankruptcy. It may be the desperate move, maybe even the stupid move, but he should’ve known it would be Frank’s move.

  15. JhallWally

Hey Beav, good to see you. It’s a joke alright. A very cruel joke. I’m starting to get a bit worried that Frank will somehow come out of this with the Dodgers. If so, I think the Dodgers as we once knew and loved them will be gone permanently. As this thing has unfolded over the past couple of years, I have found myself becoming more and more detached and apathetic about the Dodgers. Perhaps a defense mechanism. If Frank somehow manages to keep the team, I hate to say it, but, my days as a die hard Dodger fan are over. It saddens me but, it will be time to move on. Hope all is well with you and yours. Catch you later.

  16. EnchantedTheBeav

I’m all but there now. Think wherever Kemp and Kersh land, those will be my two choices of team to follow. That is in addition to whoever is playing Frank’s team.
    .
    Be well my brother.

  17. JhallWally

Hey Beav. Well, at least no Uribe, Navarro, and Thames tonight. Maybe DilDon is waking up. LOL!! Trumom wants you to come back to ITD. Hell, we all want you to come back. I decided to hang in for awhile longer to see what happens with Frank. Hell, we’ve made it our blog now anyway. Fuck Frank.
